Welcome to my web pages.  First and foremost I am a Usui Reiki Master Teacher providing professional training workshops in Usui Reiki Ryoho for those looking to make positive changes. I also provide Reiki treatments and a wide range of holistic healing therapies as well as hosting various short workshops from 'New Beginnings' healing room above my home in Cudworth, Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

Barnsley has good road and rail links with the towns and cities in both South and West Yorkshire and Cudworth itself is easily accessible by car or public transport being just three miles from the town centre on the A628 Pontefract Road.

REIKI TRAINING

I work with very small groups or one-to-one to ensure individual attention combining Western and Japanese Reiki techniques in the way I was taught by my Master Jagran during a mentorship programme at the White Space in Sheffield. 

The White Space was renowned for its excellent Reiki training and before his retirement people came from far and wide to train in Sheffield with Jagran, a well respected international Reiki Master. Jagran has close links with Frank Arjava Petter the author of many Reiki books including 'The Original Handbook of Dr Mikao Usui' Lotus Light Publications. Petter's research changed Reiki history as we in the West knew it and my teaching is a reflection of what has been passed down my lineage.

Nowadays Reiki has become a generic term for many different types of healing that are not the original Usui Reiki and to prevent confusion the book I recommend for those starting out on their Reiki journey is Frank Arjava Petter's  'Reiki Fire' Lotus Light Publications.

HOLISTIC HEALING

In addition to Reiki training and treatments I practice aromatherapy, reflexology, holistic massage, stress massage, lymphatic drainage massage, Indian head massage and Tibetan accupressure head massage.  I also have a diploma in nutrition and use various tools in my treatment including dowsing for health, crystals, nutrition and mantra. 

Reiki is incorporated into every treatment which is tailored to individual requirements and so rather than just have a holistic therapy treatment, clients receive a healing without time constraint.

We all have the capacity for self-healing and all treatments promote deep relaxation and act as a catalyst to trigger the body's natural healing response. Nevertheless, you do not have to be ill to enjoy the benefits of holistic healing as such treatment promotes wellbeing by eliminating the stress and tension that can cause ill health. The effects are cumulative and regular treatment can boost the immune system.

Qualifications

I  am a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher having trained with Jagran during his time at the White Space in Sheffield on a mentorship programme.

I am also an experienced holistic therapist and hold following qualifictions:

Reiki Master/Teacher-Usui Reiki Ryoho

ITEC Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology & Massage

IIHHT Diploma in holistic therapies which incorporates the following:-

Postgraduate Certificate in Tibetan Acupressure Head Massage

HSE - First Aid Certificate

BA (Hons) Sociology - research investigating the growing popularity of complementary therapies.

Memberships

I am a UK Reiki Federation Reiki Master Teacher as well as a member of the Embody Professionals Complementary Therapists Association.

Additional Information

As mentioned Reiki underpins all my treatments and rather than just offering holistic therapies I offer a healing service. In most cases treatments will last around 1-11/2 hours and I offer a free 30 minute consultation without obligation.  However, because I am offering healing service rather than just offering a therapy there are no time constraints and the treatment may well run over the 1 1/2 hours. Following the treatment you will be given specific aftercare advice and therefore you need to allow 2 hours for the whole session
